A war involves much more than destruction and death,Wars also brings to the nations involved a large economic costs. An example of that is the recent war in Iraq, that has cost the U.S government billions of dollars since 2003.Combining the required expenditures, health and disability costs for the veterans, and the expenditures hidden by the government, is estimated a total expenditures of $1.3 to $2 trillion of dollars. But this is still not all the costs, because it ignores the substantial "social costs" of the war. That "social costs" is estimated at least $300 to $400 billions to the total of the war bill. By adding these macroeconomic costs, we can get a full totally costs of the war (in the best scenario) in more than $4 trillions and if we include Afghanistan would increase to $5 trillions.
